In Her Words
It is absolutely amazing how God orders the footsteps and brings his plans to life in an individual! (Proverbs 16:9)
For 18 years this April, Glenn and I have been married and we have ministered together in a variety of ways throughout the world. We are very sensitive, to what God says to us personally and through individuals who hear God clearly, to follow through and be obedient to the instruction. Where fate may initiate a work in our lives we are very focused to be sure we do everything necessary to get us to the destination.
Now we have entered into a new season, the focus is still the harvest of souls and the mentoring of lives, only now we are taking it to a different level. Everything that we have done up to this point has been within the bubble of "ministry", most of the work has been in and through the church organization (a.k.a conferences, camp meetings, conventions). We have been so blessed to reach many souls through outreach evangelism and service type meetings, but now our focus is on the unreached. God is calling us to a broader capacity so we are allowing Him to enlarge our borders and lengthen our arms.
This new season has brought me back to the college campus where I am once again an enrolled student getting my certification to teach in public schools. This is one of the harvest fields that have become a focal point for us as we parent children in public high school and elementary school. God has opened so many doors already as I have been able to reach out to the students, faculty and parents in both the schools our children attend. The classrooms of peers in the college I go to have also become a place of ministry, as they have opened their hearts to the love of God flowing to them.
Foundations are important and our children are not just the future they are the present so the investment into their lives must not be prolonged. Glenn attended Southeastern College (now Southeastern University) and many of his classmates were education majors, he has always felt our children shine a light in the public school systems. We are both very excited at the opportunities that lie ahead as I enter this field as a teacher. It has been a focus of Glenn's preaching to have Spirit filled professionals in strategic places such as the courtrooms, academic houses, marketplaces, hospitals and other places where skilled people do their business as these places are the most unreached harvest fields of the world.
Glenn will continue his world missions, benevolence, itinerate ministry and be faithful to help Dr. Jane Lowder here in Ashland, VA. So many opportunities have opened for him and we are just grateful for God's grace and favor. He is writing a little as God has put it in his heart to compile his sermon notes and devotionals into study books for this generation and generations to come. I will continue doing some studio work so that we keep helping others engage their hearts in worship through music. This is an exciting time of enlargement and I am certain this season is not only for us but also for you. It is your time to see Him do exceedingly abundantly above all that you have asked or thought! (Ephesians 3:20)
Grace and Mercy be added unto you.
Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
